As education continues to be a staple of life in Chester County, Chester County Futures (CCF) is making sure every child in the county has the chance to achieve their dreams through schooling. The non-profit, located in Coatesville and Kennett school districts, specializes in the prevention of poverty through learning, according to Main Line Media News.
Since their founding in 1996, CCF has provided direct support and services through after-school meetings, mentoring, and post-secondary support. In 2014-2015 CCF provided support to 210 high school students, 87 middle school students, and 159 post-secondary students.
Recently, female friends and patrons of the organization gathered at Galer’s Estate Vineyard and Winery in Kennett Square to celebrate CCF’s success. A self-guided tour of the grape vines and tastings of this year’s red and white wines preceded a well-received report on just how successful CCF’s been and realistic about its future needs.
