Habitat was awarded a $160,000 Priority Markets Program grant by the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation. The grant supports organizations that work to remove barriers to sustainable housing in communities with low and moderate incomes. The grant will fund two of the new homes.
Representatives from the nonprofit organization and Wells Fargo were among those who gathered outside at 326 Community Lane in Cambria Terrace to celebrate the occasion. During the ceremony, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, Chip Huston, thanked Wells Fargo and its other partners for their support.
“Thank you for your relentless support of affordable housing,” said Huston.
Habitat also thanked sponsors that are taking part in the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development’s Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credit incentive. This encourages businesses to make investments in projects that improve distressed areas.
