More than 150 job seekers attended last week’s job fair in Coatesville, held at the Gordon Early Literacy Center.
The event was open to candidates of all ages, experience levels, and industries, and more than 30 regional businesses attended to match their employment needs with potential employee skills.
The event was coordinated by PA CareerLink – Chester County, the Chester County Workforce Development Board, and the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
“This event was a tremendous success,” said Pat Bokovitz, Director of the Chester County Department of Community Development and the county’s Workforce Development Board. “The employers who took part were very pleased with the attendance. With the numerous employment opportunities around the county, it is critical to have events like this one where employers can meet with job seekers.
“In the coming year, we’ll have more of these around the county and in Coatesville.”
Some of the employers that participated in the event include Manpower Group, Coatesville Area School District, the County of Chester, Insight, Devereux, Sunrise Senior Living, Triple Fresh, Express Employment Professionals, Krapf Bus Companies, Brandywine Hospital, UPS, Merit Medical, Integrity Staffing Solutions, and The Protection Bureau.
