A Coatesville consulting firm is aiming to take charge of an opportunity to instill leadership skills in disadvantaged Chester County youth, thereby helping shape a brighter future for them.
“We are excited about this opportunity to give back to our local community while pulling on one of our core competencies — leadership,” President Ria Hawkins said in the article. “Take Charge will provide development sessions designed to help youth recognize their key strengths and values, develop resiliency and sharpen decision-making skills.”
The teaching of those important life skills will complement the rest of the college readiness curriculum being implemented within the Chester County Futures program, which aims to prevent generational poverty by mentoring and supporting motivated students.
