Peter Rotelle, the custom home builder and developer of Hibernia Glenn in West Caln Township, is embarking on a new entrepreneurship journey with the help of Extreme Makeover’s Ty Pennington, writes Jane M. Von Bergen for Philly.com.
The founder of Chester County’s Rotelle Development is starting Studio E. The company is based on a trademarked method for the efficient development of individual lots from acquisition and approval, to design and construction.
“We’ve set up a system that’s completely turnkey for someone to buy a custom home on a lot,” said Rotelle in an interview with Philly.com.
The goal is to make the process of home development seamless for the customer. To achieve that, the new company has trademarked the term “lot scrubbing.” Currently, Studio E is the only company in the country to offer this.
“Imagine your house came in on a helicopter and got dropped down on a lot,” said Rotelle. “What’s that piece of ground going to cost for infrastructure and permitting? We put that in the scrubbing calculator and come up with a number.“
