Over 75 students from 11 schools will present their projects at the annual event where students are encouraged to perform their own scientific research. The participants are all winners from individual school science fairs held earlier in the school year.
“The District Science Fair not only demonstrates the quality of work CASD students perform, it also provides a platform for students to present their projects to scientists and other professionals,” said Jason Palaia, director of Elementary and Secondary Education at Coatesville Area School District.
Projects from the students will be judged during the fair and the winners will be announced on February 1. They will then get to compete in a county-wide science fair in March hosted by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
The Science Fair Open House will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 1445 East Lincoln Highway in Coatesville.
