Dr. Dan K. Williams, the pastor of New Life in Christ Fellowship in Coatesville, has announced his bid for Pennsylvania’s 74th District, according to a report in The Coatesville Times.
Williams outlined his message to represent Coatesville, Caln, Parkesburg, and Downingtown residents as a Pennsylvania State Representative in front of a crowd of about 150 community members.
He said that one of his priorities will be to invest in the district and the lives of people. This includes jobs that can sustain families and individuals, a fair livable wage and ensuring a strong community.
“I believe a measurement of success is not only how a community is doing but how the most vulnerable are doing,” said Williams.
Describing himself as a professor, pastor, father, and a citizen, Williams also pointed out the need “to not only attract, but to keep the best and the brightest among us.”
Senator Andy Dinniman also spoke at the event, telling the gathered crowd how much he looked forward to welcoming Williams in Harrisburg where they can fight for Chester County together.
