A Coatesville boy helped save a life of someone he saw having what appeared to be an opioid overdose and was in need of help, according to a staff report from 6ABC.
Little Amari immediately alerted his mother, Odale Gilliam, who called 911. Police arrived on the scene and Officer Ed Batykefer was able to revive them using Narcan.
“It’s pretty amazing that he saw that and thought to bring attention to his mother,” said Batykefer.
Amari received a $10 Kids Klub Savings Account Certificate for Coatesville Savings Bank from the police for being caught doing something right.
