Coatesville resident A.J. Hoggard, a basketball prodigy who starred for the past two seasons at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, is transferring to Huntington Prep in West Virginia, writes Daniel Gallen for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.
Hoggard is a highly touted point guard in the Class of 2020 who already holds scholarship offers from Seton Hall, UConn, Rutgers, Ole Miss, Temple, and La Salle.
A first-team All-Catholic League selection as a sophomore on the Main Line, the 6-foot-2 Hoggard averaged 15.6 points per game for Archbishop Carroll, which went 20-8 and advanced to the PIAA Class 5A quarterfinals.
Hoggard is considered a four-star recruit and one of the Top 100 prospects in his class. He will play a national schedule with Huntington Prep. Last season, the team had games against powerhouse programs like Findlay Prep (Nev.), Paul VI (Va.), IMG Academy (Fla.), and the Westtown School.
