Former students from Rainbow Elementary School in Coatesville returned for a day to take part in the Halloween event “Haunted Hallways,” according to a report from the Daily Local News.
During the annual, much-anticipated event, the school’s hallways were filled with spooky surprises. Members of the Rainbow Parent-Teacher Organization, parents, former students, staff, and custodians worked together to host the annual Literacy Event.
More than 1,000 adults and children attended the family event that consisted of the Haunted Hallway tour, a Scholastic Book Fair, a storyteller, various games and activities, snacks, Bounce Houses, and Trunk or Treat.
This year, more than 25 cars and the Westwood Fire Company took part in Trunk or Treat.
Coatesville School District officials said everyone appreciated the creativity on display.
“The Haunted Hallways kept everyone on their toes with just the right mix of creepiness and elements of surprise,” they said. “We greatly appreciate the dedication of all of those who came together to organize this literacy celebration in support of our Rainbow families.”
