The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce will present two awards at its premier business event, the Annual Dinner, on Nov. 15 from 5-8:30 PM at the Coatesville Country Club.
The Joseph G. Filoromo Jr. Community Service Award honors an individual or organization in the region that has gone above and beyond to enrich the lives of those in their communities through volunteerism and service. The chamber will present this award to Thomas J. Tracy for his commitment and active community presence throughout Chester County.
Tracy is a volunteer at Tel Hai Community Center and serves on the Honey Brook Community Partnership steering committee. He is on the board of Brandywine Hospital, an active member of the St. Peter’s Knights of Columbus, the Thorndale Rotary, and a past board member of the Honey Brook Food Pantry.
The chamber will also present the Elliott R. Jones Award to a surprise recipient that evening. The Elliott R. Jones Award was established in 1981 and is presented annually to a chamber member who has contributed services toward making Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce a viable organization.
