Dust off your cape. It’s time to soar like a superhero!
Families with children headed to kindergarten starting in the 2019-20 school year will not want to miss a fun-filled opportunity to learn more about what Coatesville Area School District can offer their children.
“Kindergarten Kickoff: Power Up for Kindergarten” is scheduled to take place Wednesday, April 24 from 6-8:30 PM at Rainbow Elementary School. This event is for all families who live in the district and have students headed to kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year.
During the event, there will be plenty of fun activities for children ages 4-5, including a bounce castle, games, face-painting, photo booths, and raffle prizes. Also, families will have an opportunity to learn about life in kindergarten. Elementary school teachers and administrators will host informational sessions for families focused on the district’s elementary school curriculum. Kindergarten registration will also be available.
The event is free, but registration is encouraged.
“The foundation of a child’s education begins in kindergarten,” said Dr. Cathy Taschner, superintendent of schools. “The Coatesville Area School District prides itself on providing a 21st-century learning experience for all students. The ‘Kindergarten Kickoff: Power Up for Kindergarten’ event will allow families to experience what life is like in every classroom across the district every day, while celebrating the superhero in all of us. We hope you will join us.”
“We can’t wait to welcome families to this fun-filled, exciting event,” said Jason Palaia, director of elementary and secondary education. “Rainbow Elementary will be transformed into a real-life comic book, filled with superheroes, and you won’t want to miss it.”
